This
policy shall apply to all students (including
trainers, managers, statisticians, etc.)
involved in Tates Creek's interscholastic
sports programs.

Volleyball
To
be eligible to participate in the
above-mentioned activities, students must meet
all KHSAA standards, Fayette County Board of
Education standards, and Tates Creek High
School's policies and procedures adopted by the
SBDM Council.
FRESHMEN
Must be promoted to the 9th grade.
SOPHOMORES
Must have an unweighted 2.0 GPA in six classes
from the previous semester, including summer
school and/or correspondence and/or credit
recovery, by the 1st day of school.
The
student must have 5.5 credits toward graduation.
JUNIORS
Must
have an unweighted 2.0 GPA in six classes from
the previous semester, including summer school
and/or correspondence and/or credit recovery, by
the 1st day of school.
The
student must have 12 credits toward graduation.
SENIORS
Must have an
unweighted 2.0 GPA in six classes from the
previous semester, including summer school
and/or correspondence and/or credit
recovery, by the 1st day of school.
The
student must have 18.5 credits toward
graduation.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Shall meet KHSAA
standards - after semester ends they must meet
Tates Creek High School standards.
WEEKLY GRADE CHECKS
All students
participating in the listed activities shall
have a weekly grade check during the season.
They
must be passing 6 classes each week.
Grades
will be checked on Fridays (or last day of the
week) and coaches will be notified that the
athlete is ineligible to participate in
game/practice activities for the following 7
days (or until grades will be checked again).
Supplemental
grade sheets are due by Monday before 3:30pm.
ATTENDANCE
Students must be
in attendance 2 entire blocks of class that day
in order to practice or compete in a game.
SUMMER SCHOOL/CORRESPONDENCE
COURSES
A
student may take classes to raise their GPA or
gain credits toward graduation. These
courses must be completed and grades in the
Registrar's office on or before the 1st day of
school for students.
OUT OF SCHOOL SUSPENSION
Any
student suspended out of school is ineligible to
play or practice during the length of the
suspension.
IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION
Any
student suspended in school (SAFE) is ineligible
to participate in game activities on that day.
They are allowed to practice.
INDEPENDENT STUDIES
No
independent studies courses can be used to gain
athletic eligibility.
