To promote academics and have fun while competing
Anchor Club (awaiting a new sponsor) Community service and fun.
Anime Club Mrs. Roxanne Blackburn Watch anime videos, draw, and share/talk about your artwork with other peers.  For anyone interested in Japanese Animated art and films.
Arab Culture Club (awaiting a new sponsor) Students interested in learning about Arab culture come together to learn.
Beta Club Mrs. Elizabeth Inman To acknowledge students who excel in academics.
DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) Mrs. Betty Powell To develop leadership skills.
Drama Club Mr. Jason Meenach Students congregate to learn more about theatre.
Environmental Club Mrs. Jenny O'Neill This group promotes recycling for the whole school and empties teachers’ recycling boxes once a week. They are also working on other environmentally friendly activities and are always looking for new members.
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Mr. Eric Jackson and
Ms. Angela Outland
FBLA offers excellent leadership and career development opportunities. FBLA members will develop skills and knowledge in personal finance, time management, and goal setting. The overall goal is to prepare students for future leadership roles.
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Mr. Justin Cheatham To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.  Meetings for the 2007-2008 school year are on Wednesday mornings at 7:30am.
FCCLA (Family, Careers, and Community Leaders of America) Mrs. Joretta Jones,

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education, focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader.
French Club Ms. Nicki Shelton To learn about and experience French culture.
Gay Straight Alliance Mrs. Katrina Weber and
Mrs. Jenny O'Neill
This group is dedicated to creating a richly diverse and tolerant school, where prejudices about people are broken down and replaced with respect and understanding. We focus on gay rights but are concerned about everyone.
Harambee Club Mrs. Alyce Emerson and Mrs. Charmaine Hill The Harambee CLub is a club open to all students at TCHS, whose focus is on the history and culture of the African American race. The word "Harmbee" is a Swahili word which means "Let's pull together". This club meets once a month and projects include Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, Kwanzaa celebrations, Martin L. King, Jr. focus, Black History month program, and mentoring and scholarship funding for African-American graduating seniors.
Latin Club Mrs. Vicki Reynolds To learn about and experience Roman culture.
Mock Trial Team Ms. Patti Palmer To provide mock experience with trials and courtroom procedures.
National Honor Society Ms. Patti Palmer To honor our students with the highest grades and highest level of involvement in their school and community and to provide service to the school and/or community.
Newspaper Mrs. April Clement To give students real life experience in the world of journalism with the added benefit of informing students with published writing.
Peer Club (awaiting a new sponsor) To attract students who would enjoy getting together for social and extracurricular activities with students who have diverse needs and abilities - activities that they might not otherwise do on their own.
Philosophy Club (awaiting a new sponsor) If you like to think outside the box, question everything from simple truths to reality, and expand your mind while enjoying great debates, then the Philosophy Club is the thing to join.
Prom Steering Committee Mrs. Brittany Crawford and Ms. Mary Jo Smith To organize and raise funds for prom.
Senior Advisory Committee Ms. Patti Palmer To plan, promote, and carry out senior activities and to have a fun and memorable senior year.
Skater's Union Club Mr. Larry Waldrop To promote skating and give some identity to those who participate in and/or are interested in alternative sports.
Spanish Club Mrs. Mojgan Martin To celebrate Spanish culture and to learn aspects of Spanish that you wouldn't learn in class.
Speech Team Mr. Quinn West To teach students effective communication skills and the value of work to improve one's self.

Student Council Mrs. Valerie Cecil To provide open communication for the entire school and to help link students with the school.
Technology Student Association (TSA) Ms. Amanda Bowling and Mr. Bob Farquhar
TSA (Technology Student Association) is a non-profit national student organization devoted to teaching technological education and promoting the use and understanding of technology.  Student members compete in regional, state, and national competitions involving technology, problem-solving, and public speaking.
Tomorrow's Teachers Club Mrs. Mary Ann McGlothlin Student organization that promotes interest in teaching as a career.
Y-Club (KYA) Ms. Margaret Van Hook A student-run organization that involves young people in school and community service work while teaching them basic leadership skills.

SPORT COACH WHY JOIN?
Baseball Mr. Dom Fucci Make new friends.  Its special to be young and to compete and interact socially with teammates and with the opposition in the process of maturing into young adults.
Basketball (Men's) Mr. Eric Williams Life lessons are learned when you're a part of a team.  You share friendship through working together, and it is rewarding when you are successful.
Basketball (Women's) Mr. Justin Cheatham Playing on a team is a skill needed in the work force.  It teaches you to do a job with people, even if you dislike them, and to not give up.
Cheerleading Ms. Tiffany Brown Stay in shape.  A great way to get involved and meet new people.
Color Guard Mr. Dee Bishop Have fun and meet new people while performing with the marching band.
Cross Country Mr. Michael Feeback A lot of fun to meet new people, to become a family, and to learn discipline and how to push your limits.
