Hole in My Life

By

Jack Gantos

The author relates how, as a young adult, he became a drug user and smuggler, was arrested, did time in prison, and eventually got out and went to college, all the while hoping to become a writer.

“Students will like this book because it has a lot of action, adventure, and suspense.  The book starts out telling the readers about himself being in jail, so you know what is eventually going to happen to him, but he whole book is filled with a lot of mystery and suspense so you never know when or what is going to happen next.”  “I would greatly recommend this book to students.  It teaches a great, real life lesson that Jack learns first hand.”
