Library Rules and Behavior Guidelines

The library enforces all school rules!! 

 - This includes the 10/10 rule. We will not sign passes within ten minutes of the end of the block.  If you need to get back to class before the bell, you're in charge of watching the clock and getting your pass signed on time. 

 - We are also supposed to confiscate any personal electronics (MP3 players, cell phones, etc.) that are on during the school day just like in a regular classroom!  Please keep them turned off in the library, too.

 - Please be in dress code.   

 

     * We assume that anyone coming to the library is there to work on something.  Loud, off-task behavior will not be tolerated because it disturbs those that are working.  This includes playing games either at the tables or on the computers. 

 

     * The library is not a haven for people who don't want to go to class.  If you don't have a teacher's permission to be in the library during the school day, you will be asked to leave.

 

             * Food and Drink are not allowed in the Library (except in The Bookmark) at any time of day.

     * Any student who consistently misbehaves and/or chooses to be disrespectful to the library staff will not be allowed to return for a period of time determined by the staff.
